Traver Rains Launches Highly Anticipated Men’s Line – T. Rains

Heatherette’s former Co-Founder and Creative Director to debut men’s line at Solis San Francisco holiday party, December 11th.

The celebrity designer and former half of Heatherette with countryboy charm and Big Apple glitter, launches a new line for men named T. Rains. Yes, it’s the same Traver Rains who guest judged Project Runway season two and three Finales and who hosted America’s Next Top Model five times. Traver is Paris’ real BFF and he’s coming to town, back to Solis on Market where he debuted Heatherette on the West Coast.

Since leaving the former glitzy club-kid inspired label, Traver Rains has pursued his own interests, including a return to photography, a hobby for which he has always been passionate. Rediscovering an affinity for Andy Warhol and the 1960’s Pop Art Movement, his first collection is a natural amalgamation of his interests.

In an interview with retail partner Solis, Traver admits that he had always wanted to create men’s fashion but never got into it with Heatherette. Traver says of his collection, “T. Rains is sexy, humorous, complex… Masculine conversation pieces.” The collection of t-shirts, tanks, and hoodies combine all that has influenced Traver: It’s western, It’s 60’s Pop, It’s risky. It’s the lovechild of Traver’s Western roots and the glitzy big city that formed him. (more…)
